Catherine Totty is a lifelong public servant, devoted wife and mother, and proud Williamson County resident committed to serving the community she proudly calls home. Appointed as Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector in 2026, Catherine brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in banking, finance, customer service, and operations to the office.
Born and raised in East Texas, Catherine's passion for public service began at an early age. At just 11 years old, she joined her mother while block walking during her campaign for Anderson County Tax Assessor-Collector, where her mother would go on to serve two terms. That experience instilled in Catherine a lifelong appreciation for local government and the importance of serving neighbors with integrity, accountability, and respect.
After moving to Central Texas in 2001, Catherine built her career while becoming deeply involved in the Williamson County community. She and her husband, Scott, have raised their son, Andrew, here and are proud to call Williamson County home. Catherine earned her bachelor's degree and has remained active in local chambers, civic organizations, and professional associations, including the Five Points Board of Realtors located in Williamson County.
As Tax Assessor-Collector, Catherine is committed to providing efficient, transparent, and responsive service while continuing the office's tradition of professionalism and customer-focused leadership. She believes local government should be accessible, accountable, and dedicated to serving every resident with excellence.
